Herman
Miller's Relationship With PC Training Source
Herman Miller recently renegotiated its
contract for its IT Professional and Desktop
online courses. Because its three-year contract
with the encumbent vendor was about to expire,
the company had the opportunity to seek
bids from all of the leading online content
vendors. During the bidding process, Herman
Miller carefully compared each vendor's
offering (it's not all about price) and
reconsidered its long-standing relationship
with PC Training Source.
For over six years, Herman Miller has sourced
the bulk of its online learning content
through PC Training Source, rather than
directly from the various content vendors.
Why? Having one-stop-shopping for various
types of content, an expert that can locate
those difficult to find courses, and an
advocate when renegotiating contracts with
the big vendors is a real value-add. During
the recent bidding process, the competition
between vendors was fierce, but PC Training
Source was able to negotiate better pricing,
more libraries, and more features with ElementK
(the winning vendor). Once again, PC Training
Source proved there is real value in our
relationship. We look forward to another
three years with PC Training Source and
Element K.
